Do you want to make a real difference while supporting and developing a high-performing team? We're looking for a Nurse Supervisor to help shape the quality of care delivered across our complex care services in the community. The Role: In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with our Nurse Managers and Registered Manager to ensure employees are safe, competent, and confident in delivering person-centred care to clients with complex clinical needs.
Responsibilities
* Carry out on-shift supervisions and competency checks in clients' homes and schools
* Support clinical development and identify training needs within the team
* Monitor and maintain infection control standards, including PPE supply
* Escalate and address areas of poor practice, ensuring appropriate support and follow-up
* Collaborate with the clinical and admin team to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation
* Participate in CPD and industry events to maintain your own professional development
* Get involved in our corporate social responsibility programme
* Provide regular supervisions and competency assessments of nurses and carers in the field
* Work in close collaboration with our Nurse Managers and Registered Manager to ensure CQC compliance
* Conduct direct observations of practice, identifying areas for development and celebrating success
* Support and train staff in complex care procedures, helping to build confident and competent teams
* Able to attend supervisions, flexibly covering early morning (06:00-09:00) and evening (18:00-22:00) shifts
* Proven experience in complex care, including Tracheostomy care, PEG/JEJ feeding, Long-term ventilation, Oxygen therapy and Cough assist
* A strong foundation in clinical governance and care planning
* Experience in training healthcare professionals in the community
* A confident, organised, and autonomous leader who thrives in both team and independent settings
* A registered nurse (NMC) with excellent clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
* Flexibility to work outside of traditional hours based on client needs
Shift patterns and essential requirements
Available Shift Patterns: This role requires flexibility - you may be needed from 06:00-09:00 or 18:00-22:00, depending on client needs. We\'re looking for someone adaptable who thrives in a dynamic, community-based environment.
* Essential: NMC registration, knowledge of infection control, community nursing, hands-on experience with tracheostomy care, long-term ventilation, enteral feeding, cough assist, oxygen therapy and experience training carers or nurses.
