As a Major Projects Surveyor, you will be at the forefront of ambitious construction projects in London's skyline. Collaborating with Architects, Engineers, Contractors, and Stakeholders to ensure project success and add value with your expertise.
This role requires Class 3 (3H) status as a Registered Building Inspector. We will consider candidates in early stages of the RBI process and support your registration.

What you’ll be doing:
You will lead building surveying assessments of complex, high-risk, high-value projects, managing other specialists’ input.
Engage and negotiate with developers and design teams, providing expert advice on NHBC Standards, Building Regulations, and standards to ensure compliant, low-risk solutions.
Responsibilities include:
* Site inspections for risk management on high-risk projects
* Deputising for the Technical Operations Manager
* Providing technical support within your area of expertise
* Quality monitoring, peer reviews, training, and mentoring
* Guiding builders and consultants on regulations and standards
* Resolving customer complaints and managing conflicts
* Representing NHBC externally at seminars and industry groups
* Delivering technical presentations as needed
The ideal candidate will have:
* Class 3 (3H) Registered Building Inspector status
* Strong communication skills
* IT proficiency
* Ability to work independently
* Experience in plan appraisal and project management
* Excellent relationship-building skills
* Extensive construction industry experience with Building Control
Education and Qualifications:
* Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CABE, MCIOB, RICS)
* Desirable: construction-related degree (BSc/MSc)
* Must be or be working towards Class 3 (3H) registration, with details in your application
