Maintenance Engineer - Leatherhead
The Role
We are looking for a competent Maintenance Engineer to join our small, yet growing team. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for building-related matters during your shift. This includes mechanical, electrical, plumbing, basic carpentry, minor decorating, and general handyman tasks. This is an active, hands-on role requiring regular weekend work and on-call availability.
You will actively ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed, and that workshops, plant rooms, and work areas are kept clean and tidy. You will also assist external trades as needed to complete various works.
The Person
You should be open to learning and training in new areas such as Pool Plant, Fire Alarm Systems, Building Management Systems, and Flexkeeping, our work task system.
Being a team player is essential when joining this small but busy team. Effective communication, both written and verbal, is crucial to keep the team and wider business informed about logged and completed works, as well as liaising with internal customers and guests.
You should present yourself professionally in manner and appearance. No job is too big or small; you turn ideas into reality and are a keen problem solver capable of providing quick solutions in emergencies.
Previous experience in day-to-day maintenance and electrical skills in a building service or hotel environment is desirable.
