WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We're looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Accounts Assistant to join our Management Accounting team within our Healthcare portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their finance career who's eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a fast-paced, award-winning events business. You'll be supporting the Finance Business Partner and the wider finance team across financial and management accounting processes, getting stuck into real, meaningful work from day one. THE ROLE: As an Accounts Assistant, you'll be a valued member of the Management Accounting team, supporting key financial processes across our Healthcare events. Your duties will be aligned to your experience and will grow as you do, with plenty of opportunity to develop your skills and take on more responsibility. Your responsibilities will include: Month-End Financial Accounting: Review monthly travel costs and post allocation journals Assist with payroll reporting and flag variances to the management accounts team Support month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments Help with revenue and cost variance analysis and identify actions needed Roll over the monthly balance sheet reconciliation files Monthly Management Accounting: Reconcile the show forecast trackers with actual costs and review alongside open purchase order reports Produce income reconciliations for show revenue and query discrepancies with the AR team Assist with delegate revenue reconciliations and reporting Update forecast information to ensure accuracy for each show Ensure headcount reporting is accurately maintained Supporting the Business: Report and communicate monthly marketing and operations costs across the business, and handle queries Support in producing reports for the Business Partner and Finance Director to provide insight for commercial decision-making Ad hoc duties as needed to support the management accounts team and wider business ABOUT YOU: Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust, confidence and respect with colleagues A strong eye for detail and the ability to sense-check data and information Solution-oriented with a proactive, "can do" attitude — you instil pace and urgency and aren't afraid to dig into the detail Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft applications (Excel is key!)
