Senior Support Worker – Children's Residential Home
Location: Brentwood
Setting: 4-Bed Children's Home
Salary: £31,000 per annum

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at a newly established 4-bed children's home in Sittingbourne, Kent. This is a meaningful opportunity to play a key role in a new service, supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide nurturing day-to-day care, guidance, and emotional support to the young people in our home.
* Support the Home Manager in maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance.
* Lead by example and mentor junior staff members.
* Help create a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
* Promote positive outcomes, independence, and resilience in young people.
* Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and reporting.
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or working towards)
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a children's residential setting
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and child development
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
