Overview
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our Pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of Medication to our Patient.
PLEASE NOTE:
This role is currently set for 1 day per week only (Fridays)
You must have your own car and will use that to do the deliveries
Hourly rate is: £12.55 per hour plus 32p per mile
Deliveries start from 2pm until finished
We use a specialist tracking app which tracks milage and optimises delivery route
Start date immediately
Deliveries are for Cramlington (and surrounding areas)
This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to traffic regulations. The Delivery Driver will also assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring that all deliveries are completed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
* Hand out prescriptions according to our guidelines to patients doors
* Follow delivery routes effectively to optimise time and fuel efficiency.
* Communicate with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
* Assist in warehouse duties as required, including inventory management and organisation.
Skills
* Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
* Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in driving larger vehicles is a plus.
* Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices.
* Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
