Previous experience of managing/monitoring stock levels?
A good client of ours based in Hoddesdon requires a Purchasing Assistant.
Purchasing Assistant Responsibilities:
Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs.
Research potential vendors.
Obtain pricing for bespoke / nonstock items.
Raise purchase orders for both stock and non-stock items.
Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
Goods Inwards Process (Physical checking of materials & booking deliveries into the system)
Physical allocation of product in the warehouse to suit specific customer orders / production batches.
Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm / change orders / chase delivery of orders.
Liaise with warehouse staff to make them aware of goods inwards arrival.
Process warehouse production sheets into the system daily.
Goods Issuing of orders through the system daily for invoicing purposes.
Required skills:
Very good attention to detail
Knowledge on Microsoft Office suite - mainly excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic IT skills
Desired skills:
Knowledge of SAP
Experience within a similar role however, training will be provided.
Permanent, full time (mon-fri 8am-5pm)
