Field Business Development Manager Industrial / Technical Sales Field-Based Most sales roles talk about relationship building. This one is about winning business. Were working with a well-established engineering and industrial solutions provider that supplies specialist equipment and systems to critical industries across the UK and internationally. Theyre not looking for someone to sit behind a desk managing accounts. They want a hunter. Someone who is comfortable opening doors, building trust with technical buyers, and turning opportunities into real revenue. If you enjoy the challenge of prospecting, influencing decision-makers and closing deals, this role gives you the autonomy and backing to do exactly that. The Opportunity This is a field-based business development role focused on identifying, developing and winning new opportunities across industrial, engineering and infrastructure markets. Youll be working directly with: Engineers Procurement teams Project managers Senior decision makers The business already has a strong reputation in its sector. Your job is to turn that reputation into new opportunities and new contracts. What Youll Be Doing Proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities across target sectors Building relationships with technical and commercial stakeholders Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close Conducting site visits, demonstrations and technical discussions with clients Working closely with internal engineering and commercial teams to develop solutions Tracking pipeline activity and progressing opportunities through to order Representing the business at industry events and customer meetings What Were Looking For This role suits someone who enjoys the front end of sales. Someone who is motivated by winning new business, not just maintaining accounts. Youll likely have experience in: Field-based technical or industrial sales Engineering, manufacturing or capital equipment environments Managing complex B2B sales cycles Working with technical buyers and procurement teams Most importantly, you will be: Commercially driven Comfortable opening new doors Confident presenting technical solutions Self-motivated and disciplined in managing your pipeline Whats On Offer Competitive base salary Attractive commission structure Company vehicle / allowance Field-based autonomy Opportunity to represent a highly respected specialist manufacturer Interested?
