Fuel System Test Engineer – Full Time – Solihull
What you will be doing
In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of executing Engineering tests in support of key aircraft fuel systems across all sectors. This includes the planning, setup, commissioning and support of engineering rigs plus all technical elements of testing from definition of test requirements, test design / execution, test validation against requirements using analysis and reporting of results.
Responsibilities
* You’ll be undertaking the design and validation of rig control circuit / architecture for fuel system test hardware development in ATEX zoned areas.
* Undertaking a wide variety of fuel system tests such as hot and cold fuel, vibration, fire, environmental, investigations, performance, systems and contaminated fuel.
* Ensuring that the right test equipment is available, conforming, calibrated and correctly defined in preparation for rig build.
* Diagnosis of test rig issues, test failures and whole system problem-solving on test software / hardware related to hydro-mechanical test equipment (servo-valves, LVDT’s, instrumentation, data acquisition systems and PID tuning).

* Relevant engineering degree, HND or equivalent industry experience
* Experience of test systems hardware and software
* Experience in measurement of fluid flow, pressures, temperature. Knowledge drive systems, electro-mechanical systems, data acquisition systems and instrumentation
* Strong engineering background, preferably in a test environment and ability to analyse data, draw conclusions and document as appropriate
