️ A Day in the Life of a Support Worker
Every day is different — and every day makes a difference. You might start your morning helping someone plan their day, prepare breakfast, or attend an appointment. In the afternoon, you could be supporting with life skills like cooking or budgeting, joining in with hobbies, or simply enjoying a walk and a chat.
You’ll build real relationships, celebrate progress, and be a trusted presence in someone’s life. You’ll work closely with a supportive team, communicate openly, and make decisions that truly matter.
Who you will be supporting -
Gentleman (Late 50s)
1. Uses a wheelchair
2. Loves boat trips, wildlife, shopping, music, and being out daily
3. Needs an adventurous, fun support worker who can keep up with his love for activities
4. Driver preferred (he has his own vehicle)
Lady (40s)
5. Also a wheelchair user
6. Loves shopping, musicals, theatre trips, and pampering sessions
7. Enjoys sensory lights, perfumes, and dressing up
8. Seeks a bubbly, girly support worker who’s up for fun, new experiences
9. Driver preferred (has her own adapted car)
As a Waking Night Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
10. Assisting with personal care and hygiene needs
11. Administering medication (with training)
12. Completing accurate care records and handovers
13. Promoting dignity, comfort, and safety throughout the night
14. Supporting household tasks and maintaining a calm, restful environment
