Tesco Media and Insight Platform
This platform is a partnership between Tesco, the UK's largest grocery retailer, and dunnhumby. It uses data from over 23 million Clubcard holders to understand consumer behavior and optimize advertising spend, ensuring targeted messaging across the marketing funnel. Our goal is to help brands shape British consumer behavior.
Position: Senior Strategy Consultant
We seek a Senior Strategy Consultant to join our Strategy and Propositions team. You will work closely with the Head of Strategy to develop multi-year growth strategies for Tesco Media, applying analytical and storytelling skills to influence senior stakeholders.
Your responsibilities include understanding retail media market dynamics, monitoring trends, advising on opportunities and risks, and undertaking strategic projects for Tesco Media and dunnhumby leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop a 3-year strategic vision with clear priorities, revenue goals, and go-to-market strategies.
2. Translate this vision into an annual plan with defined goals and cross-functional alignment.
3. Define annual strategic priorities for the team.
4. Explore synergies between dh and Tesco strategies to accelerate growth.
5. Lead the creation of bi-annual competitive monitoring reports on retail media platforms in the UK.
6. Build relationships with non-competing retail organizations globally.
7. Act as an internal consultant for ad-hoc strategic questions and provide recommendations.
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience delivering strategic projects from analysis to recommendations.
* Background in retail, retail media, advertising, or management consulting.
* Strong business acumen, including financial planning and business models.
* Experience managing full project cycles from discovery to delivery.
* Proficiency in data analysis, insights, and basic modeling (e.g., market sizing, pricing).
* Ability to craft clear strategies and roadmaps.
* Knowledge of KPI frameworks and deployment.
* Excellent storytelling and communication skills for diverse audiences.
* Experience managing stakeholders at various levels.
* Understanding of media landscape, key players, and technologies.
