Make a Real Difference in the Lives of Children and Young People
Lancashire’s Child and Youth Justice Service (CYJS) supports children aged 8–18 who are involved in, or at risk of, offending or anti‑social behaviour. We work with children, their families, victims, and the wider community to promote safety, reduce harm, and create opportunities for brighter futures.
Everything we do is guided by the principles of Child First, trauma‑informed practice, and restorative approaches.

2. Undertake work within the Courts.
3. Complete high‑quality assessments and support children and their families/carers to achieve positive outcomes.
4. Work collaboratively with partners, promoting strengths‑based and restorative practice at every stage.
You may also support our Prevention and Diversion service, helping children exit the criminal justice system at the earliest opportunity and ensuring they receive the right support at the right time.

5. A recognised Social Work degree (or equivalent)
6. Registration with the relevant professional body
7. Strong assessment, communication and partnership‑working skills
