Quantity Surveyor - Highways / Infrastructure (NEC) Location: Maidstone (2 days per week in office) Rate: £40 - £50 per hour (Outside IR35) Start: ASAP Contract: Ongoing Overview We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong knowledge of NEC contracts, CEMAR, and final accounting to support a major National Highways project based in Maidstone. The successful candidate will play a key role in cost management, contract administration, and financial reporting across highways and infrastructure works. Key Responsibilities Manage cost control and financial reporting across project packages. Administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Operate and manage CEMAR for compensation events, early warnings, and change control. Prepare, negotiate, and agree final accounts. Manage compensation events, variations, and change control processes. Liaise with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasting and budget control. Provide accurate and timely financial reports and cost analysis. Support commercial governance and audit requirements. Requirements Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in highways or infrastructure. Strong working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts. Hands-on experience using CEMAR. Demonstrated experience in final accounting. Comfortable with IT systems and commercial software. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Able to attend the Maidstone office twice per week. Available to start immediately.
