Hayward Hawk is delighted to be working with a global professional services organisation to appoint an IT Senior Associate – Asset Manager.
This role is central to managing IT assets and applications across a large, multi-location enterprise, ensuring effective governance, lifecycle management, and alignment with organisational strategy and policies.
You'll apply IT Asset Management (ITAM) principles throughout the asset lifecycle—from acquisition to retirement—while playing a key role in optimising the technology portfolio through application rationalisation.
The ideal candidate combines operational discipline with strategic insight, using data-driven decision-making to drive efficiency and value.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead governance processes and manage the software demand pipeline in partnership with technology leadership.
* Oversee processes across the asset lifecycle, including acquisition, operation, optimisation, and retirement.
* Maintain a complete and accurate IT asset catalogue, ensuring high data quality at all times.
* Coordinate software deployment and reclamation activities.
* Assist in managing vendor portals and SaaS licensing.
Application Portfolio Management
* Align application portfolios with business capabilities and strategic priorities.
* Maintain accurate documentation and guide applications through onboarding and governance processes.
* Monitor application performance and identify redundancies or underused assets.
* Partner with business owners on contract renewals and future application needs.
* Recommend optimisation strategies in response to changing business or market demands.
* Keep technology roadmaps updated based on portfolio developments.
Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Technology, or related field (technical degree preferred).
* 3–5 years' experience in IT asset management, portfolio management, or IT lifecycle management.
* Strong understanding of IT operating models, ITAM principles, and lifecycle planning.
* Skilled in managing competing priorities in both independent and collaborative settings.
* Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, LeanIX, or Azure DevOps (desirable).
* Certifications such as CITAM, CSAM, or CHAMP are advantageous.
