The PCTL role is regionally based and the post holder must live within the region or close to the region to enable daily travel. They are required to attend all of the Probation Officers and sometimes the establishments within the region for various purposes as well as partner agency premises for multi-agency meetings. Expenses for this post are based on being regionally posted and therefore the post is not financially viable either in terms of commute time or expenses incurred travelling unless the post holder can base themselves at one of the Probation Offices within the region for the purpose of expenses.
