Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing daily maintenance and monitoring of DFDS' VMWare and Hyper-V environments across various sites.
* Providing 2nd and 3rd line support for VMWare, Hyper-V, and associated Wintel-related issues.
* Driving continuous optimisation and technical ownership of hypervisor setups to improve performance and stability.
* Supporting the management and operation of DFDS' large-scale Windows Server and Active Directory infrastructure.
* Creating, updating, and maintaining technical documentation while offering guidance and mentoring to wider team members.
Key Qualifications
* Deep expertise in virtualisation technologies, particularly within VMWare (VCF stack) and Hyper‑V environments.
* Strong scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, combined with broad Wintel knowledge.
* Experience with storage technologies or cloud IaaS is a bonus.
* Eager to expand skill set and stay current with emerging technologies.
* Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, shifting environment and make clear decisions on priorities.
* Strong initiative, ownership, and proactive contribution to the team.
* Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
