Hours: part-time variable
Hourly rate: £25.25 (unqualified)* or £26.38 (qualified)* inclusive of holiday pay.
Plus, membership of Teachers' Pension Scheme
*the base hourly rate is £16.29 (unqualified) / £17.02 (qualified) per hour, plus payment for holiday and preparation and marking time, which gives an approximate hourly rate of £25.25 (unqualified) / £26.38 (qualified) per hour.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, industry-experienced tutors who can contribute towards outstanding teaching and learning on our Fitness, Sports Coaching and Exercise Science programmes.
You will work with our established team to plan, deliver, and assess across fitness and sport programmes, to support students to succeed and progress towards their next steps.
This role is currently available on a part time variable hours basis, but it could lead to more permanent hours in the future.
About the person
We are looking for an inspiring individual with current or recent industrial experience who can share their knowledge, expertise, and enthusiasm with our students. A teaching and assessing qualification would be an advantage, but this could also be seen as an opportunity to progress into a teaching career and qualification.
This role would suit someone that is self-employed or in part-time employment, with the flexibility to manage their time around teaching commitments.

We are a large, regional college serving a population across York and North Yorkshire of more one million people. Each year, we have approximately 4,000 school leavers, 1,000 apprentices, 2,000 adult students, and 400 higher-level students studying with us.
Our wide range of education options span entry level programmes through to degrees, higher technical qualifications, and accredited professional courses to courses for professional development. Our apprenticeships can be studied from level 2 to level 5 across a range of different career pathways.
