Prospero Teaching is looking for passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational SEN Schools in Alnwick to start ASAP on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on the lives, progress and development of young people.

1. The role is based in an inspirational SEN School in Alnwick.
2. The School supports pupils aged 4-16 and there are opportunities to support pupils across all years groups depending on your preference and specialism.
3. The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils.
Pay, Hours and Contract:
4. Pay – Between £88-110 per day
5. Hours – Full-time, Monday to Friday
6. Contract – Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2025. Temporary Contract.
7. Start Date – ASAP
8. Location – Alnwick
About the Role:
9. The role will involve supporting pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
10. The School supports pupils with varying SEN and challenging behaviour, aged 11-16. There are roles available to support pupils across this age-range depending on the preference, experience and skill-set of the successful Candidate.
11. Additionally, some pupils may be none-verbal and some may require Personal Care so a willingness to support pupils in these contexts is key.
12. A key part of the role will be to develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of different pupils within the classroom, working closely alongside Class Teachers and colleagues to establish this.
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
13. A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (desired)
14. UK Driving Licence and access to a car (desired)
15. Experience of working with Children in Schools in the UK
16. An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff.

18. Hold Right to Work in the UK
19. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
20. Provide two professional references that cover the last two years
