Role Profile
Our client is a growing family business, enjoying an exciting period of expansion on the 3PL side of their business. As 3PL Account Manager, you will be a key liaison between the Customer and Operations, both Warehouse & Transport. Reporting into the Head of Operations you'll initially focus on 4 x key accounts, ensuring excellent customer service is delivered, every time. The role is office-based and you will work Monday to Friday, typically 8:30am - 5:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as the daily interface between client management and operations.
2. Liaise with customer contacts from middle management to Director level.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve logistics or quality control issues.
4. Manage the integration of new clients into systems.
5. Develop and improve relationships with existing accounts.
6. Influence client engagement practices for mutual benefit.
7. Travel occasionally to customer sites when required.
8. Collaborating with the Planning team to ensure all customer transport needs are fulfilled on time.
This is not a new business sales role - it's about retaining, supporting, and developing existing high-value accounts.
Key Skills & Experience
9. Proven Account Management experience in 3PL, preferably within food or pharma logistics.
10. Background in high-volume pallet or freight operations.
11. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate solutions effectively.
12. Excellent communication skills with ability to influence at all levels.
13. Strong system experience, including Microsoft Excel.
