Job Description
General duties of the position:
* The manager ensures the smooth running of the restaurant, bar and meeting and events operation and ensures guest satisfaction.
* Responsible for developing the profitability of all outlets.
* Main driver for revenue for restaurant and bar
* He supervises all front-of-house staff (in collaboration with other managers) and ensures compliance with legislation.
Activities and duties related to the position:
* Responsible for the proper maintenance of equipment and the cleanliness of dining areas, hygiene and safety
* Between each service, checks the layout and cleanliness of tables
* Ensures customer satisfaction throughout the service
* Adopts a commercial attitude towards customers and maintains a professional attitude at all times, promoting Mama Shelter
* Responsible for the smooth running of the service
* Ensures the organisation of the service (staff briefing, manager briefing, task allocation, VIP list, etc.)
* Checks the organisation of groups and seating plans
* Prepares the service briefing sheet
* Manages the restaurant during service
* Writes the end-of-service report and sends it to the relevant people
* Manages the catering team and alternately manages the administrative side of the role (timetables, holiday schedules, timesheets, cash register discrepancies)
* Is regularly on the floor and remains available to their team
* Develops employees\' skills (onboarding, training, evaluation) and supports them in their professional development
* Organises and leads training sessions specifically for F&B staff
* Responsible for their cash register, checks and signs off on end-of-service cash register
* Responsibility of F&B P&L, optimise profit margins by managing cost and driving revenue
* Participate in monthly business reviews and assist preparing yearly budgets
* Responsible for closing the restaurant in the evening
He/she may also be called upon to carry out specific tasks within the establishment and to respond to any instructions issued by his/her immediate superior or a member of management. The list of tasks mentioned above is not exhaustive and may change, particularly in line with the growth of the company and developments within the establishment and its teams.
