We are seeking a highly organised and creative Event Director to lead the strategy, planning, and execution of our new and existing high-impact events that elevate the Travel Gossip brand, engage our audience & sponsors, and drive business goals.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing complex events from concept to completion, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering exceptional attendee experiences.
Travel Gossip's events portfolio is entering an exciting period of growth, including launching a new product line plus reshaping two recently acquired industry events.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive event strategy that aligns with overall company objectives.
* Lead end-to-end event planning and execution, including budgeting, scheduling, venue selection, vendor negotiations, staffing, logistics, registration, and post-event analysis.
* Identify growth opportunities and design strategic solutions tailored to audience and customer needs to drive revenue and profitability.
* Inspire, mentor, and lead the events team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and high performance.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and executive leadership to ensure event initiatives align with brand messaging and business goals.
* Manage relationships with sponsors and vendors such as venues, production companies, caterers, AV teams to guarantee quality and efficiency.
* Oversee event marketing efforts, coordinating with internal teams on content development, digital campaigns, and social media strategies.
* Lead on-site event operations, proactively troubleshooting to ensure seamless execution and attendee satisfaction.
* Monitor KPIs and return on investment ROI for each event, producing detailed post-event reports with actionable insights.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously elevate event strategies and engagement.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the travel industry.
About You:

* Demonstrated experience delivering profitable B2B events, with a strong grasp of budgeting and financial management.
