Hours: 38 per week – Monday to Friday
Monday - Tuesday 7:30 - 4:30
Wednesday - Thursday 7:30 - 4:15
Friday - 7:30 - 12
Salary:
Your initial starting pay for this position will be £13.57 per hour. As this is deemed to be a training rate, your hourly rate will increase over your probationary period in 4 weekly increments as follows:
· 1st increment £14.28 per hour
· 2nd increment £15.42 per hour
· 3rd increment £16.55 per hour
· Full rate £17.81 per hour
Overall Purpose:
To support the Quality team with the management, rework and salvage repair of non-conforming products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Will be working with precision and delicate tools such as small diameter boroscopes to inspect internal features of castings
* Will be using hand and vibrating tools to remove positive metal identified that is out of specification
* Able to design and manufacture unique tools to address difficult to access locations
* Will be remove foreign objects from internal cavities that are difficult to access and inspect
* Will be managing WIP efficient to ensure continuous repair and rework of castings
* Will be responsible for ensuring a clean and organised department, stocks and WIP are correct at any point in time
* Able to use SAP to up-to-date the status of castings repairs and reworks
* Able to work as a team with inspectors from different departments to solve problems and rework non-conformances
* Able to support the operational team during times of peak demand and throughput
