A well-established secondary school in Bristol is seeking a School Receptionist to join their administrative team on a permanent, term-time-only basis. This is a key front-of-house role, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy school environment and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
As the face of the school, you will play an essential role in supporting daily operations and ensuring the smooth running of reception.
Key responsibilities include:
Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, students, and staff
Managing incoming calls, emails, and visitor sign-in procedures
Supporting attendance, student queries, and safeguarding processes
Maintaining accurate records and administrative systems
Providing general administrative support to the wider school team
The successful candidate will:
Have previous experience in a reception or administrative role (school experience desirable but not essential)
Be confident using IT systems and handling multiple tasks
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be calm, professional, and approachable in a busy environment
Understand the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding
