What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Working in a complex fast-moving environment, you will be responsible for the overall operational performance on shift ensuring effective use of resource and management of staff, so customer service and volume is not compromised
* Support in the management of stock integrity and investigate all discrepancies, using root cause analysis to identify and then remedy all areas of improvement
* With a passion for developing others, you will lead and motivate the team, to ensure you meet set KPIs, whilst providing support and guidance to your team
* You will exceed operational targets and lead continuous improvement initiatives at site whilst championing all things health and safety
* You will work closely with our customer developing positive working relationships and responding to any customer requests or queries in a timely manner
What you need to succeed at GXO
* Previous management and team building experience, ideally from working in a similar fast moving and customer focused environment
* An understanding of continuous improvement tools and health and safety
* Strong PC skills with good knowledge of creating and maintaining spreadsheets, you will need to interpret data on a daily basis with effective numeracy and literary skills and excellent communication.
* Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (SAP) would be an advantage
