We are looking for an experienced and motivated Territory Manager to lead a team of approximately 25 Field Engineers delivering high-quality repair and maintenance services to well-known national retail customers across the South of the United Kingdom. Milton Keynes is the preferred base to facilitate team collaboration and regular management meetings, though the role covers the wider southern territory. This is a dynamic leadership role where you will take full ownership of service delivery performance across your territory—balancing operational efficiency, team development, and customer satisfaction. You will have the autonomy to shape how services are delivered, ensuring SLAs are met while continuously improving productivity, processes, and team capability. Responsibilities Leading and developing a team of Field Engineers to deliver exceptional service excellence to national retail customers, ensuring SLAs and operational targets are consistently met Managing daily operations across your territory, including resource planning, workload allocation, and project delivery (e.g., peak periods, pilots, or new service launches), working closely with the Dispatch Team and internal service functions Driving team performance through regular coaching, mentoring, performance reviews, and remedial actions, including Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) where required Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development to build a highly skilled, motivated, and engaged team Ensuring adherence to customer site procedures, accurate reporting, and data recording, identifying chargeable or avoidable fault calls, and monitoring engineer productivity Managing parts, assets, and fleet operations for direct reports, ensuring compliance with logistics, vehicle maintenance, and cost efficiency Producing management reports and engineer scorecards to track team performance, identify improvement areas, and support operational decision-making Collaborating across the business to implement new processes, drive efficiency, and reduce non-compliance, while providing clear direction and leadership aligned to corporate and local goals Participating in management meetings, site visits, and occasional travel across the territory to support operational excellence and team engagement Managing financial and operational processes, including raising purchase orders and processing goods receipts for approved service-related purchases Qualifications College degree or equivalent work experience 2–5 years’ experience in field service or technical management, ideally managing field engineers Strong organisational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve operational challenges across departments Proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams Fluent business English (written and spoken) We are Armed Forces friendly.
