Events Coordinator
Join Chatham House as an Events Coordinator to support the planning, delivery and evaluation of a schedule of member briefings, private roundtables and institutional conferences.
Key Responsibilities
* Own the logistics of assigned events – room set‑up, AV, catering, registration and online hosting.
* Act as main point of contact for speakers – invite, briefing materials, confirmation of details.
* Collaborate with internal partners – Catering, AV, Facilities, Marketing & Communications, Research programmes and the Head of Event Production.
* Maintain accurate event information in the CRM and other shared systems.
* Support post‑event follow‑up – feedback collection, evaluation and thank‑you correspondence.
* Contribute to performance measurement of the events function and continuous improvement of processes.
Person Specification
* Significant experience delivering or coordinating events in a professional or policy environment.
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
* Confident communicator with strong written, verbal and relationship‑management skills.
* A collaborative, positive team player who can take initiative and work independently.
* Experience using CRM or event management systems.
* Competent user of Microsoft Office and virtual event platforms such as Zoom.
* Desirable – experience delivering conferences, roundtables and other events.
* Understanding of GDPR and data protection principles.
* Interest in international affairs and the work of think tanks or policy institutes.
Benefits & Remuneration
Salary: £32,000 per year. Full‑time, Permanent contract. Location: St James’s Square, London – hybrid; minimum 3 days per week in the office.
