We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our fantastic in house bank team in the role of Mental Health Support Worker. We seek experienced, dedicated and compassionate mental health workers to support our patients. You will use your experience to provide enhanced care and continuous observations to patients with mental health conditions or experience psychological distress.
In return, we can offer you a comprehensive and structured induction program to help you equip you to succeed in the role. You are submitting your application to register your interest in attending the bank recruitment interview day. As part of the shortlisting criteria, you will be asked to provide a copy of your qualification certification prior to the interview day.

* Deliver therapeutic interventions that will reduce agitation and distress and promote recovery.
* Identify factors that increase and decrease agitation/distress for the patient.
* To always deliver care according to the principles of least restriction.
* To always deliver care in accordance with the principles of least restriction and in line with national guidance including NICE guidelines for managing disturbed behaviour.
* Provide excellent customer care skills to ensure patients come first.
* Undertake a range of delegated clinical care duties to deliver agreed plans of care, acting on own initiative.
* Recognise when patients are in pain and discomfort and report to nurse in charge.
* Under the direction of trained staff maintain and develop own skills including:
* Monitoring and recording of vital signs to include blood pressure.
* Simple, aseptic dressings.
* Monitoring and recording of blood glucose levels.
* Oxygen saturations.
