Contract | HR Business Partnering
We’re looking for a confident and proactive People & Culture Advisor to join a dynamic HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity to partner closely with managers and employees, playing a key role in delivering a high-quality, commercially focused people service.
You’ll take ownership of a defined client group of approximately 100 employees, with a strong focus on employee relations, wellbeing, and manager capability.
What You’ll Be Doing
Business Partnering & Employee Relations
1. Build strong, trusted relationships with managers and team leads, acting as a key HR partner
2. Provide expert, commercially focused advice on employee relations matters including:Conduct and disciplinary casesGrievancesCapability and performance management (PIPs)Flexible working and leave requests
3. Coach and upskill managers to confidently handle people matters
4. Support and guide managers through investigations, hearings, and formal processes
Policy, Compliance & Best Practice
5. Ensure all HR policies and procedures remain compliant with current legislation
6. Keep up to date with employment law and industry trends
7. Support the upkeep of HR documentation and employment contracts in line with legal requirements
Wellbeing & Absence Management
8. Manage long-term sickness and occupational health cases, working with internal and external stakeholders
9. Identify trends in absence and wellbeing, providing insights and proactive solutions
10. Support managers in addressing both short-term and long-term absence effectively
11. Coordinate leave processes (maternity, paternity, parental, emergency leave), ensuring smooth and compliant handling
Continuous Improvement & Projects
12. Contribute to HR projects and initiatives
13. Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and service delivery
14. Partner with wider HR teams and specialists to deliver impactful people initiatives
15. Support training needs and delivery for managers where required
What We’re Looking For
Experience
16. Strong HR generalist background with proven Experience in employee relations
17. Confident managing complex ER cases and supporting line managers
18. Experience coaching and developing managers at team lead/first-line level
Qualifications
19. Degree-level education or equivalent Experience
20. CIPD qualification (part or fully qualified) desirable
Skills
21. Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
22. Strong influencing and decision-making ability
23. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
24. Analytical mindset with strong Excel skills ( VLOOKUPs)
25. Confident communicator, presenter, and facilitator
