This role is focused on moving and handling with a strong emphasis on embedding a ‘moving with dignity’ approach across partners in health and social care in Sandwell, with a focus on facilitating independence and wellbeing. The roles are fixed term until March 2027. If you are an applicant from Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust or Sandwell MBC, a secondment opportunity will be considered.
What You’ll Do
* Carrying out effective and proportionate assessments and making appropriate recommendations for specialist equipment and adaptations to meet complex needs
* Use your knowledge and understanding of health/social care legislation and implications for practice
* Build effective relationships with people, caregivers, and other professionals
* Deliver an enhanced customer experience that promotes wellbeing to local people in their local communities
About You
* BSC or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
* 1 year experience of which 6 months must have been within an adult social care environment
* Evidence of continuous professional development
* Significant knowledge of theories and practice relating to professional practice
* Ability to travel around the borough
