Job Overview
Cotswold Talent Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Swindon for experienced Class 1 Trunk Drivers to join their growing team.
This is a temp to perm opportunity, offering consistent night work and a stable Monday to Friday shift pattern. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations.

* Hours: Monday - Friday, 17:00 - 03:00
Duties
* Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads appropriately.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and comply with all relevant regulations.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
* Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.
Skills
* Proven experience in commercial driving.
* Strong knowledge of delivery routes and logistics processes.
* Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy items when necessary.
* Valid C+E (Class 1) Licence
