We are pleased to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Buyer on behalf of our client. In this role, you will collaborate with the Procurement team to drive efficiency, deliver cost savings, and manage supplier rationalisation. You will also work with the Sales team to maintain optimal stock inventory, generating revenue and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
1. Support the P2P process with a team of Procurement buyers.
2. Prepare and raise purchase orders and manage stock replenishment.
3. Procure goods, materials, and components in line with customer demand.
4. Maintain optimal stocking levels.
5. Resolve supplier quality issues identified in the warehouse, including documentation and quality concerns.
6. Coordinate with sales to provide updates or changes to open purchase orders.
7. Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships with effective communication.
8. Ensure all interactions with suppliers are professional and consistent.
9. Adhere to compliance guidelines, purchasing policies, and procedures.
10. Collaborate with the procurement team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and business efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
* Legal right to work in the UK.
* Experience in a purchasing role, preferably within aerospace or manufacturing.
* Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification or studying towards it is advantageous.
* Strong knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, and commercial principles.
* Experience working closely with suppliers.
* Ability to add value, reduce costs, and contribute to business improvements.
* Proficiency in computer applications, especially Excel.
* Familiarity with ERP systems is beneficial.
* Excellent relationship-building skills with staff, stakeholders, and suppliers.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Effective time management and prioritization skills.
* Commercial and financial awareness.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
