JOB DESCRIPTION:
To co-ordinate the delivery of the Brothers and Sisters project within agreed timescale, budget and as per brief. This will include working with the Service Development Manager, Residential Care (SDM) and other internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of the project, including reporting to relevant stakeholders, ensuring all requirements are in place to deliver a viable ongoing service.
Provide all aspects of project co-ordination, liaison and administration related to this initiative. Work with the SDM to oversee the effective planning, implementation and delivery of this project. This will include working with internal and external colleagues and agencies as required to ensure all aspects are progressed to completion.
The planning and coordination of sessions, supported by a team of volunteers will be at the heart of the role and will require an enthusiasm for working with people.
Effective communication, liaison, task delegation and skills identification are key requirements and you will be required to prepare reports on progress and identify any risks/barriers to be addressed which may impact successful outcomes.
Supporting the SDM to ensure this project becomes a sustainable service offer to local authorities and other stakeholders in 2025 is vital.
In consultation with the SDM, oversee specific elements of the project, progressing actions as required:
* In consultation with the SDM, design a suite of documents which will meet all needs of the project
* Recruit, train and manage volunteers involved in delivery of the project, including necessary risk assessments
* Ensure regular communication and updates with project team members and others involved in project progression to completion
* Ensure all relevant project information, data and documents are kept up to date and shared as required
* Work with Finance colleagues to ensure we are operating within policy and budget, and provide realistic future costings
Support the recruitment and induction of volunteers:
* Work alongside external stakeholders to recruit, induct, train and support a team of volunteers who will provide day to day delivery
* Ensure that Rossie’s policies on Volunteering and Safer Recruitment are followed
Coordinate all resources including volunteers to ensure smooth running of operations on a day to day basis:
* Management of referrals from external partners, including relevant risk assessment and matching processes
* Coordination of volunteers to ensure families’ experiences of the project are positive
* Collate and provide feedback to volunteers, maximising use of their skills and experience for the benefit of children, young people and their families
In consultation with relevant managers, ensure appropriate risks are identified and mitigations put in place:
* Identify and report on any risks and mitigations associated with the development, implementation and ongoing delivery of the project
* Capture all information in relevant reports and documentation in consultation with the relevant manager and/or external stakeholder
* Along with colleagues ensure all aspects of the project are compliant with legislation and policy around Safeguarding, Health and Safety and other relevant frameworks
Provide project progress reports and presentations as required both internally/externally:
* Create and present project outlines and reports as required
* Provide project updates and reports to SDM, CEO and SLMT as required
* Support the SDM in the preparation of interim evaluation reports for the CORRA Foundation and an end of project evaluation report as per contract requirements
