Overview

Salary: £36,363 to £39,152 per annum. Contract Type: Fixed Term or Secondment (Internal) to cover parental leave until June 2027. Working Pattern: Full time – 37 hours per week. Location: Based at County Hall, Chichester – hybrid working. Interviews: Thursday 4th of June.

The Opportunity

The Performance and Insight team are currently recruiting for a Performance Analyst to support the Adult Social Care team. The role is to work with the service to understand their processes and analyse the data to ensure we are meeting the Council’s statutory and operational responsibilities. We are looking for someone with high level technical knowledge in data analysis and who can give data real meaning to ensure we are delivering on our responsibilities.

In this role, your work will influence decision making within the service, using your data analysis skills to bring the data to life. The role is varied; you’ll need to switch between projects, work independently and meet timescales. About you

Some of the key skills, experience and knowledge required to be successful in the role include:

* Advanced analytical skills to include software/languages: SQL, Excel, VBA, PowerBI, Tableau, R.
* Experience organising and handling large amounts of complex data, undertaking complex statistical analysis and producing high quality reports to inform service decision making.
* Ability to work with service teams and wider partners to establish needs and the analysis and reporting required to look for improvements.
* Advisory, negotiation and persuasion skills to encourage service teams to adopt a course of action based on the data provided.
* Excellent communication and data visualization skills enabling presentation of analysis and findings to diverse audiences.
* Experience building credibility with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation and with partners.
* Experience of implementing new processes or changes to existing ones.
