Job Overview:
Berry Recruitment Darlington is seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join a team for a long-term booking at a location in Masham. This ongoing role involves both lunch and dinner services with a flexible schedule. The position is available immediately, and we are looking for someone committed to the outlined working hours.
Working Hours - Example of shifts:
* Wednesday: Lunch only (10am - 2.30pm)
* Thursday: Full day (10am - 8.30pm)
* Friday: Full day (10am - 8.30pm)
* Saturday: Full day (10am - 8.30pm)
* Sunday: Lunch only (10am - 2.30pm)
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage kitchen operations during lunch and dinner service.
* Ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
* Manage kitchen staff, ensuring they perform their duties effectively.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver menus that meet quality standards.
* Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed to maintain kitchen functionality.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards.
* Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
Pay Rate: £19.00 per hour, paid weekly every Friday for the hours worked the previous week.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen role.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Passion for delivering high-quality food and excellent service.
