A L500 ranked Renewable Energy department is seeking a Solicitor (2-6 PQE) to join a top-tier practice advising on some of the most significant and innovative Renewable Energy projects in the country.

Role
An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Solicitor to join this highly ranked L500 Renewable Energy department at a respected Scottish firm, based in Glasgow. The team is deeply embedded in Scotland’s renewables sector and works with a broad range of clients including developers, funders, investors, landowners, community bodies and planning authorities.
The role involves advising clients across the full lifecycle of Renewable Energy Projects. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating agreements such as exclusivity arrangements, options, leases, and conducting due diligence for investors and funders. You will also support clients in the renewable energy supply chain and advise on land and property matters related to energy infrastructure projects.
This role provides exposure to projects across sectors like onshore wind, hydro, solar, battery storage, and marine energy. You will be part of a team that has advised on deals representing a large proportion of Scotland’s renewable electricity capacity.
The firm encourages its lawyers to engage with the sector beyond legal work, including attending industry events, contributing to publications, and building renewables community relationships, supporting your professional development and sector engagement.
Your Experience
* Experience in energy, commercial property, or rural property work is considered
