What You Will Do You will be responsible for the design, manufacture, verification, validation, and lifecycle support of test equipment at board, sub-system, and system level. You'll work on technologies that support Control Actuation Systems, Guidance Electronics, and cutting-edge GPS Anti-Jamming systems across land, sea, air-and space. Responsibilities - Design and develop functional test equipment for electronic systems - Lead and support hardware/software integration and troubleshooting - Provide lifecycle and production support, including issue resolution and obsolescence management - Collaborate across engineering disciplines to develop robust, scalable test solutions - Lead design reviews and documentation to the highest standards - Act as a mentor and technical leader for junior engineers Required Experience - Excellent knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design. - Ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation. - Proven experience in handover and management of designs in production. - Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills. - Test software design experience. - Able to support/debug system integration - Must be eligible for MOD Security Clearance to a minimum of SC level Desirable - Significant test development experience in industry. - Use of Mentor Graphics schematic entry and PCB layout tools. - Understanding of common test architectures PXI/d LXI - Measurement Uncertainty and its application in test equipment design and validation - Software Certification or detailed knowledge of: NI LabView, NI CVI, NI TestStand, C# - Design of mix signal circuits - High speed serial networks - An appreciation of RF electronics - Knowledge of power supply design What We Offer - Competitive salaries. - 25 days holiday statutory public holidays, plus opportunity to buy and sell up to 5 days (37hr) - Contributory Pension Scheme (up to 10.5% company contribution) - Company bonus scheme (discretionary). - 6 times salary 'Life Assurance' with pension. - Flexible Benefits scheme with extensive salary sacrifice schemes, including Health Cashplan, Dental, and Cycle to Work amongst others. - Enhanced sick pay. - Enhanced family friendly policies including enhanced maternity, paternity & shared parental leave. - Private Medical Insurance (dependant on grade) Work Culture - 37hr working week, although hours may vary depending on specific role. - Early 1.30pm finish Friday, start your weekend early! - Remote, hybrid and site based working opportunities, dependant on your needs and the requirements of the role. - A grownup flexible working culture that is output, not time spent at desk, focussed.
