About the Role
Are you ready to take the lead in a dynamic environment? NG Bailey Facilities Services is on the lookout for an experienced Lead Mobile Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to join our prestigious SETL - South East Trains Limited contract. In this role, you will guide a team of engineers to deliver exceptional service across multiple railway stations in the South-East.
Your mission? To ensure the highest standards in health and safety, customer service, quality assurance, and statutory compliance. You'll oversee adherence to NG Bailey's systems and procedures, maintaining operational excellence. Plus, with comprehensive training, you’ll gain your Personal Trackside Safety (PTS) qualification!
Your Key Responsibilities
* Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive work related to electrical equipment, in line with Service Level Agreements.
* Efficiently carry out electrical maintenance and installation work according to IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and other relevant standards.
* Provide 24/7 service support as part of a dedicated team, including participation in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
* Lead multi-disciplinary works, applying knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing, drainage, and building fabric for seamless service delivery.
* Manage service provision through clearly defined contract metrics (KPI/SLA), ensuring the proper operation of electrical systems.
* Oversee compliance operations, including permit management and tenant inspections, focusing on electrical safety.
* Conduct risk assessments and safety audits in line with safety legislation and NG Bailey Health and Safety systems.
* Build relationships with customers to identify additional electrical work opportunities.
* Supervise subcontractor work, ensuring compliance with procurement processes.
* Assist in developing the base contract and completing extra works related to electrical services.
* Support internal and external audits to drive continuous improvement.
* Conduct toolbox talks with all Engineers in the team.
Working Hours
Enjoy a balanced work-life with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and a call-out rota of 1 in 4 weeks.
What We’re Looking For
We seek an experienced Lead Engineer who is committed to delivering high standards in building services provision, both planned and reactive, with a strong focus on customer service. In addition to your electrical expertise, a solid understanding of plumbing, drainage, mechanical systems, and building fabric is essential.
Qualifications:
* Completed a recognized Electrical Apprenticeship (preferred but not essential)
* City and Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent
* City and Guilds 18th Edition
* City and Guilds 2391 (essential)
* Personal Track Safety - PTS (desirable)
* IOSH Working / Managing Safely (desirable)
* Safe System of Work Procedure – PTW; RAMS etc. (desirable)
* L8 Training (desirable)
