The role
As a Plant, Tool and Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing on-site plant, tools, and equipment for the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C. Your responsibilities include overseeing reactive and planned maintenance, providing training on the use of plant, tools, and equipment, and suggesting improvements for better management and product selection.
This role involves manual work such as lifting, bending, using tools, and standing for extended periods. It is a full-time position, 38 hours per week, based on-site at Hinkley Point C.
Essential Experience
* 2+ years’ experience as a Plant, Tool and Equipment Technician
* Experience with small tools and plant maintenance and repair
* Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems for larger plant
* Understanding of LOLER and PUWER regulations
* Knowledge of LEV, welding, and calibration procedures for survey equipment
* Proficiency with IT systems
Qualifications
* Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (Q1053110) (Light Vehicles)
* Level 2 Progression Award in Automotive Servicing & Repair
* Level 3 Apprenticeship Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance
