ECHO Personnel are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our clients dynamic team on a PERMANENT basis in Corby. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively with hand and power tools. The MIG Welder will be responsible for producing high-quality welds while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. Only local Mig Welders we can respond to, no applications will be considered if you are not within a maximum of 1 hour commute time. Duties as MIG Welder Perform MIG welding on a variety of materials, ensuring strong and precise welds. Utilise TIG and Stick welding techniques as needed for specific projects. Fabricate components from sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during the welding process. Conduct assembly tasks as required, ensuring all components fit together correctly. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Troubleshoot any welding issues that arise during the production process. Requirements as MIG Welder Proven experience in MIG welding; additional skills in TIG and Stick welding are advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Previous experience in assembly or fabrication is preferred but not essential.
