Accountant, Group Reporting, International Contract: Permanent Closing date: 23rd July 2025 Vyoma Gandhi - vyoma.gandhi@boots.com About the role The Accountant, Group Reporting, International meaningfully contributes in preparing accurate, timely and compliant consolidated financial reporting for the International Group, under both US GAAP and IFRS. This role supports the Senior Manager in preparation of external consolidated stakeholder reporting / statutory accounts and is instrumental in providing financial transparency for stakeholders, including executive leadership, investors, and regulators. Key responsibilities · Support the timely production of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements. · Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS, as applicable, and ensuring compliance with evolving reporting requirements. · Help deliver Annual Report, quarterly & monthly financials for stakeholders, including executive leadership, investors, and regulators. · Work closely with FP&A, Tax and Treasury to provide high-quality, consistent reporting. · Improve the system automation for reporting systems to enhance reporting speed and accuracy, for example Workiva or IBM PA. · Help prepare other routine or ad-hoc reporting, as required. What you'll need to have · Qualified accountant with excellent academic record. · Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) · Experience of external reporting. · Good IFRS / US GAAP knowledge. · Ability to build strong relationships and networks across the organisation. · Track record of challenging existing processes / ways of working and driving through change and continuous improvement. · Self-starter and able to deliver to strict deadlines · Excellent communicator, with natural presence and credibility at all levels. · Capable of challenging in a constructive and positive manner. Language skills (e.g. German, Spanish) for international coordination. · Exposure to public company reporting, for example SEC or UK listed. · Operating with the retail or consumer goods sector. · Finance transformation, system implementations, or global ERP integrations.
