We are recruiting a SEND Outreach Worker to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across primary and secondary settings in Halifax. This is a dynamic, hybrid position combining in-school support, outreach work, and multi-agency collaboration.
The Role
You will:
Work directly with SEND pupils in both primary and secondary schools
Deliver targeted interventions and tailored support strategies
Build strong relationships with families and school staff
Attend review meetings and multi-agency meetings
Deliver training and guidance where required
Travel between education settings across the area
Work flexibly to attend meetings or undertake specific duties, which may occasionally fall outside of standard school hours
Essential Criteria
Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent (or higher)
Recent experience working in a primary or secondary school setting
Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive practices
Full UK driving licence
Access to your own vehicle
Willingness to work flexibly to meet the needs of the role
Excellent communication and organisational skills

You'll be proactive, adaptable, and confident working independently. You'll have a genuine passion for improving outcomes for SEND students and the ability to build positive, professional relationships with a range of stakeholders.
