Based at the Richmond Hill, Ontario site, your work will directly support compliant and efficient movement of goods across borders while ensuring adherence to Canadian and U.S. trade regulations.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to manage trade documentation, resolve shipment issues, and support regulated food shipment processes. Your attention to detail, regulatory knowledge, and ability to work cross‑functionally will help ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement across global trade activities.

You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

* Ensure all import and export activities comply with Canadian customs regulations, applicable international trade laws, other government department requirements, and internal compliance standards
* Coordinate end‑to‑end import and export operations, including shipping, customs clearance, documentation flow, and collaboration with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, warehouses, and internal logistics teams
* Monitor shipment activity and proactively manage exceptions, including CFIA or FDA holds, customs exams, missing documentation, broker issues, and clearance delays, to ensure timely delivery of goods
* Provide backup support for U.S. import operations as needed
* Support USDA and CFIA regulated meat‑load shipments, including documentation, certificates, annexes, seal tracking, inspections, warehouse coordination, and transition to digital certificates within My CFIA
* Travel locally to CFIA offices as required to obtain or process veterinary certificates, meat certificates, stamps, or related export documentation
* Classify products using applicable tariff codes to ensure accurate duty calculation and customs reporting, and maintain supporting classification documentation
* Prepare, review, and maintain accurate trade documentation and records across systems such as E2open, broker portals, and shared drives
* Prepare GST reports for Revenue Canada and support CARM data requirements, broker issue resolution, and Canadian import recordkeeping
* Collaborate cross‑functionally with logistics, transportation, procurement, quality, regulatory, legal, finance, and external partners to resolve trade issues and support cross‑border planning
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and support the development and maintenance of SOPs, process maps, checklists, and training materials

Important Details:

* The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $63,000 - $94,400 CAD annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs. For certain roles, the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award, bonus and equity pay
* This is a full‑time, on‑site role based at the Richmond Hill, Ontario location
* Occasional local travel is required to support CFIA offices, warehouses, or inspection locations

You’ll fit right in if you have:

* Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred
* 3+ years of experience in global trade operations, customs compliance, import/export management, or logistics
* Valid driver’s license for local travel is required
* Knowledge of Canadian customs regulations, tariff classification, and trade compliance
* Familiarity with CUSMA/USMCA and regulated food shipment requirements
* Experience with systems such as SAP, E2open, CARM, My CFIA, ACE, or broker portals preferred
* Strong Excel, analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
