Job Description
We have an opportunity for a Disrepair and Regulatory Contact Officer to join our team on a full‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term contract, based in either Oldham or Chesterfield. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with three days a week in the office and two days working from home.
About The Role
The Disrepair and Regulatory Contact Officer supports the team by providing proactive administrative and operational assistance. The role focuses on delivering a high‑quality, efficient service to both internal and external customers, ensuring processes are managed accurately and consistently. Key responsibilities include maintaining effective record‑keeping, coordinating key activities, and working in line with regulatory and data protection requirements.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Working knowledge of the functions and obligations of a registered social landlord
* Highly organised, with the ability to work to agreed timeframes
* Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to plan and manage multiple work assignments effectively
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience using IT systems
* Strong attention to detail to support accurate recording and audit requirements
* Experience in maintaining accurate records and activity logs
* Experience raising orders and managing payments
* Knowledge of GDPR legislation and the Data Protection Act
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience handling complaints under Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act
* Understanding of, and interest in, housing issues and services provided by registered housing providers and regulatory bodies
* Previous administrative experience using data management systems, ideally Swordfish, CRM, and Northgate
Essential Qualifications
* Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics (GCSE grades 9–4 or A*–C)
