Job Summary:
The Ministry of Defence employs over 50,000 Civil Servants. Within that, the Army Top Level Budget (TLB) employs over 12,000 MOD Civil Servants located at over 300 locations. Ours is a diverse workforce, with roles ranging from trainers, human resources, teachers, and psychologists to storekeepers, financiers, project and programme managers, and policy secretariat staff. There are many different functions and professions delivering key outputs for the Army.

HQ ARRC (Allied Rapid Reaction Corps) sits within the Field (Fd) Army structure which is part of the Army a major part of the MOD. HQ ARRC provides NATO with a rapidly deployable, flexible HQ that can act as a Joint, Land or Corps HQ for operations and crisis response. Its multi-national ethos, combination of cultures and innovation, strong professional reputation in NATO and proven track record in interoperability are unique among its High Readiness Force (Land) peers.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented personnel manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR with a focus on personnel and the ability to apply and follow policy.

Key responsibilities:
* Line Management responsibility for x1 Executive Officer.
* Principle 2 Star formation officer, responsible to Chief of Staff ARRC for all CTSE (Corps Troops Staff Element) and subordinate units UK MS, including policy direction and advice
* Lead CTSE MS team in provision of MS (Military Secretariat) guidance, advice and management of all Appraisal reports for CTSE.
* Responsible for the coordination of CTSE UK Job Specification reviews and Job Advertisements for boarding.
* Responsible for staffing CTSE Honours and Awards and co-ordination of submissions from sub-ordinate brigades.
* Board secretary for all Command earning officer boards and Honours and Awards screening boards.
* Responsible for CTSE UK establishment issues specifically UK post prioritisation for CTSE and formation units.

Essential skills required:
* Previous experience of working in a Human Resources or Business Management role.
* We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual who can handle the pressure of coordinating a wide range of activities and should be comfortable working with data, adhering to policy and be willing to adapt to changing priorities.
* Effective written and excellent verbal communication skills and display a positive and professional attitude.
* Exceptional organisational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines, demonstrating an ability to prioritise workload and work on multiple tasks at one time.
* The ability to engage and communicate with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, always maintaining professionalism.
* Experience in adhering to, and utilising policy to problem solve.
* Be an adaptable team player, with experience of working collaboratively, but comfortable when working alone, with minimal direction.
* Have Microsoft Office experience, Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
