The Role
As a Sales Account Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for academic and biotech clients across your territory. Your role will be to identify client needs, position the right solutions, and manage the sales process from first interaction to long-term support.
Key Duties Include:
* Delivering revenue targets and actively growing accounts within your region
* Building and managing strong client relationships across academic institutions and biotech firms
* Promoting a broad portfolio of molecular biology tools and instruments
* Leading product discussions, demos, and solution presentations
* Handling procurement conversations, tenders, and framework agreements
* Reporting regularly on pipeline development and market trends using CRM tools
* Staying informed on competitor activity and emerging scientific technologies
What You’ll Bring:
* A degree in Life Sciences (advanced degree or lab experience is a plus)
* Solid understanding of molecular techniques like PCR, NGS, and nucleic acid extraction
* Sales experience, particularly in complex technical environments and/or capital equipment
* Strategic thinking with the ability to prioritize across multiple accounts
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* A proactive mindset and ability to work independently in a remote-based setup
* Valid UK driver’s license and willingness to travel
