About the Role
A supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Preston is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join them on a long-term supply basis. This role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys the consistency of a regular timetable while still benefiting from the flexibility of supply work.
You’ll deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students build confidence and make strong progress. The school has a collaborative Maths department and a welcoming team, creating a positive environment where you can focus on high-quality teaching without the additional pressures of a permanent contract.
Key Responsibilities
* Teaching Maths across KS3–KS4
* Planning and marking in line with department expectations
* Supporting students with numeracy development and exam preparation
* Creating a calm, purposeful classroom environment
* Building positive relationships with students and colleagues
* Contributing to the wider Maths department where needed
What We’re Looking For
* A qualified Maths Teacher (QTS or QTLS)
* Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Maths
* Confident behaviour management and a positive classroom presence
* Ability to adapt quickly and work collaboratively
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
