It provides a structured pathway into SCPHN practice, combining 50% academic study and 50% practice-based learning to develop skills and confidence in the Health Visitor role. You will be based within the 0-19 Torbay Service, working across Paignton, Brixham and Torquay as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. Practice learning includes clinics, home visits and community settings, supporting delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and improving outcomes for children and families. Learning is integrated, with increasing practice experience alongside academic development. Annual leave aligns with university schedules. You will be supported by a dedicated Academic in Practice, Practice Assessor and experienced team colleagues. A preceptorship programme supports transition into SCPHN practice on completion.
