The successful candidate will be highly motivated, with proven experience of supporting people with varied and multiple barriers to secure paid employment. Working within a performance driven environment, you will need to be experienced in delivering a high standard of Information, Advice and Guidance, working within a fast‑paced environment and adhering to compliance guidelines to maximise on GLLaB’s externally funded contract through the achievement of programme targets.
As an Employment Support Officer, you will be working on the Restart Scheme to support residents to move into and sustain employment.
We Are Looking For Someone To
* Form part of an award‑winning service and be responsible for the delivery of GLLaB frontline advice and guidance service to workless residents and other job seekers.
* Carry out individual one‑to‑one diagnostic interviews, action planning and tracking and record all outcomes along the customer journey to sustainable employment.
* Be responsible for delivering a high‑quality service in line with external funding or Prime Contractor requirements.
The Successful Applicant Will Need To Demonstrate
* You will be a proactive and results‑driven professional with a strong background in employment support.
* You will have extensive experience of delivering front‑line advisory support services to a range of job seekers.
* Experience of conducting one‑to‑one diagnostic interviews to determine the eligibility and level of training and/or development support needed for local unemployed job seekers.
* Proven experience of supporting residents into work through a number of mechanisms including job brokerage, training, job search and coaching techniques and advisory sessions.
* Experience of managing large caseloads and actively supporting customers into sustainable employment.
* Excellent organisational, problem‑solving and IT skills, with the ability to track outcomes and ensure compliance standards.
Grade: SO2
Employment Term: 1 year FTC
Hours: 35 hours per week
