An exciting opportunity to be part of the team at Greenwich Local Labour and Business (GLLaB), the council’s Employment Support Service. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, with proven experience of supporting people with varied and multiple barriers to secure paid employment. Working within a performance driven environment, you will need to be experienced in delivering a high standard of Information, Advice and Guidance, working within a fast-paced environment and adhering to compliance guidelines to maximise on GLLaB’s externally funded contract through the achievement of programme targets.
As an Employment Support Officer, you will work on the Restart Scheme to support residents to move into and sustain employment.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver front-line advice and guidance to workless residents and other job seekers.
* Carry out individual one-to-one diagnostic interviews, action planning and tracking, recording all outcomes along the customer journey to sustainable employment.
* Ensure a high-quality service in line with external funding or Prime Contractor requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proactive, results-driven professional with a strong background in employment support.
* Extensive experience of delivering front-line advisory support to a range of job seekers.
* Experience conducting one-to-one diagnostic interviews to determine eligibility and required training or development support.
* Proven experience supporting residents into work through job brokerage, training, job search, coaching techniques and advisory sessions.
* Experience managing large caseloads and actively supporting customers into sustainable employment.
* Excellent organisational, problem-solving and IT skills, with the ability to track outcomes and ensure compliance standards.
