Binnies an RSK Group company is looking for a Capital Delivery Solutions Manager to join our @one Alliance.
What will you be doing as our new Capital Delivery Solutions Manager?
Being part of the @one Alliance – one of the most successful, award-winning, and progressive water sector capital delivery organisations, you will provide leaders to the Alliance and Anglian Water value-driven solutions that achieve our capital investment programme outcomes and business objectives. Developing new ways of working that focus on delivery outcomes, rather than outputs to reduce carbon, protect and increase natural capital, address climate change, and embrace innovations and new digital technologies.
You will deliver a diverse programme of wastewater (sewerage) treatment, infrastructure (water and sew pipelines) and water (treatment and storage) projects.
Key Accountabilities:
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
1. Develop strong collaborative relationships and trust between Anglian Water’s Asset Delivery Planning (ADP) and @one alliance delivery teams.
2. Manage key Anglian Water and external stakeholders during the solutions stage.
3. Act as a point of escalation, mediation, and resolution for both Anglian Water and the @one alliance during the solutions stage.
Solutions Stage Management:
4. Lead the Solutions Stage on behalf of the @one alliance and be accountable for its performance.
5. Own the Solutions Stage process in conjunction with Anglian Water ADP, including monitoring individual portfolio performance and leading continuous improvement.
6. Understand both Anglian Water’s and the @one alliance’s business objectives and ensure they are used for developing and selecting solutions.
7. Support the development of the @one alliance’s AMP8 delivery programme to achieve sustainable release of projects.
8. Produce a Solutions Stage monthly performance report.
9. Ensure that the Solutions Stage, including the Risk Opportunity and Value (ROV) process, is driven by robust data, analytics, and objectiveness.
Solution Development:
10. Lead a culture of value and challenge for developing solutions that achieve business objectives and risk appetite.
11. Facilitate rigorous root cause analysis, investigations, and data analysis to develop and select solutions.
12. Engage the @one delivery team discipline experts to take responsibility for their project solutions.
13. Drive the Risk, Opportunity & Value process to produce value-driven outcomes.
14. Ensure selected solutions are sufficiently developed and risks managed to provide certainty and achieve a right first-time delivery approach for @one delivery teams.
Health & Safety:
15. Drive excellence in Health and Safety in solution development.
16. Ensure risk assessments are completed to eliminate hazards and reduce risks.
People & Team Development:
17. Provide clear, consistent, and visible leadership to the @one Solutions Team.
18. Develop the resource strategy for the @one Solutions Team.
19. Provide mentoring and pastoral care to Solutions Team members.
Transformation:
20. Lead a culture that inspires your team to experiment, innovate, and continuously improve performance.
21. Identify ways to reduce carbon and increase natural capital within solutions.
22. Develop relationships with the wider water sector to enhance both yours and the @one alliance’s performance and reputation.
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours…..
To be successful in this position you will hold a degree ideally in an engineering discipline and preferably have experience in water-sector assets and delivering capital projects. Experience in a Design and Build environment is an advantage. You be able to demonstrator compliance with business ethics, foster collaboration and support the development of skills around you. You are comfortable leading a culture of outperforming affordability and continuous improvement to deliver efficiencies.
You are a natural leader, providing line management for the team, and can confidentially manage activities to achieve efficient outputs to ensure quality procedures are followed, mitigating risk where necessary. You’ll enjoy the challenge of contributing to commercial performance and identifying improvements and working within a collaborative environment.
