FutureGen Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading planning consultancy seeking a Senior Town Planner to join its Oxford team.
This is a business operating in one of the UK’s most competitive and high-profile planning markets. Their portfolio includes residential-led developments, complex infill schemes, sensitive heritage settings, and major regeneration opportunities requiring careful stakeholder engagement and high-quality planning strategy.
The consultancy is known for its ability to navigate politically sensitive planning environments, providing clients with clear advice, risk management and deliverable planning outcomes.
The Role
As a Senior Town Planner, you will take responsibility for managing projects and acting as the day-to-day planning advisor for clients.
Responsibilities
* Leading residential planning applications through to determination
* Drafting detailed Planning Statements and planning strategy reports
* Managing stakeholder engagement and authority negotiations
* Representing clients at planning committee
* Supporting Local Plan representations and consultation responses
* Assisting with appeal submissions where required
* Mentoring junior planners and supporting team delivery
You will work on a mix of projects ranging from smaller high-value schemes through to larger strategic residential opportunities.
About You
* MRTPI qualified or close to achieving chartership
* Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
* Strong report writing and technical planning abilityCommercially aware with a pragmatic, solution-focused mindset
